AW13 Burberry Front Row at London Fashion Week
Every season the Burberry front row is the one to be seen on. It is the mega-watt star front row. It is the front row that is just the right amount of glossy, quirky, fashionable and intelligent. The Burberry front row yesterday at the 2013 AW collection was no different. Let us count the ways. Starting with Rita Ora who did something I really rather loved. Man-style 80s suiting in a gentle teal shade, paired with a t-shirt that supports her BFF Cara Delevinge, by saying 'Queen Delevinge' — it was gifted to Cara but worn by Rita. Rock 'n roll chic, I tell ya. I hated the trouser leg bunching like that around the white wedge, but I will forgive in light of the t-shirt situation.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley also wore a trouser suit — but hers was red hot in red. And perfectly fitted of course for this ex-model. NO BUNCHING AT ALL. Good girl.
Kate Beckinsale looked amazing. Slightly veering off to mumsy, but so beautiful that you forget about that after the first nano-second. Love a white shirt dress.
Freida Pinto looked AMAZING. I wish she would wear trousers more. She even went and customised it a bit to make it work for her. Who was asking yesterday if peplums were still a 'thing'? I believe here is your answer. Lady Mary, aka Michelle Dockery, was nicely and classically presented in heels and a Burberry mac, which is faultless for a Burberry show. And Olivia Palermo looked lovely, if a bit dowdy for this outing, which is particularly un-like her. We need to look at her style in full tomorrow and see where all this is going, I think. Power front row all in all. What do you guys think? Who was your favourite?
