There was quite a build up to the performance that Beyonce Knowles gave at yesterday's US Superbowl event. Coming off a controversial lip synching situation at the inauguration, Bey held a press conference and sang the US National Anthem live. Flawlessly of course. For the occasion she wore a white mini made of leather. It was designed by Olcay Gulsen.
The back of the mini dress was open and the dress very short, and yet Mrs Carter seemed to carry it all off with class and dignity. And those Jimmy Choo heels were fabulous.

Then there was another build up event at Radio Row. At this affair, Beyonce swapped out her Choos for an even more wonderful pair — metallic and perforated. And she wore a snappy little orange Antonio Berardi dress that fit like a glove. Winning.
And then there was the performance. OMG. I am not a Beyonce stan, but even I could tell this was something else. The leather costume was crafted by Rubin Singer and is brilliant — I love the lace detail on the thigh, even if no one else did.
All three of the Destiny Child girls wore over the knee socks and Prabal Gurung booties for the occasion, although I do believe that Kelly Rowland's leather suit was by Emilio Pucci. Amazing.
