I am such a fan of the work of local designer brand, Jane Sews. Amy Venter produces trendy and feminine pieces for girls who just want to be a shade on the quirky side of pretty. Which is pretty damn perfect to me.

And this winter this includes my absolute favourite item ever — the school girl pinafore dress. I will be getting me one of those, for sure. It is from the collection entitled, A Day Apart.

If you are in Cape Town, come along to the Design Indaba EXPO from Friday through till Sunday, where you will be able to see this new collection — and shop it too. I can't wait.

Jane Sews is at Design Indaba, supported by The Cape Town Fashion Council, along with 40 other brilliant local fashion and jewellery designers. It's about the most worth while thing you can do with your weekend. See you there.
