It was some kind of charity event, where a bunch of successful TV actors got together to read to kids. So far so nice. It is quite hard for actors to know what to wear to such an event, however, as this is a red carpet of a strictly casual kind. Overdress and you look silly, underdress and you look a mess. What to do? Well I say take tips from Ginnifer Goodwin. A little stripey shirtdress is the epitome of daytime chic without looking too trussed up. Cool and casual, but perfectly styled. Nice.

The lovely Julie Bowen rather under-shot with her look. I adore the yellow striped jumper. But overall the styling is a little too casual for an appearance, even though she paired the jeans with heels.

And Jayma Mays is a treat but looks a little too put together. A lace up brogue flat (in a contrast colour to her skin) would have made all the difference. Just bringing the look down a half notch on the trussed-up scale. What do you guys think? Who looked best for you?
