Earlier this week I had the great pleasure to host the Winter 2014 media launch for casual local lifestyle brands Old Khaki and Poetry. As I am a bit biased, I wanted to pull out the generic comments of the day — gleaned from all the media who attended. And I think that everyone will agree on the following:
1. The knitwear was fantastic.
2. Poetry was a surprise package of really cute items for winter, much more bold and sophisticated than before.

3. The navy dotty jumper from Poetry, the grey one with colour neck detail from Old Khaki, and the 'eyelash' black and white knit from Old Khaki were all absolute must-haves.
4. We can't imagine what we would do without these brands for our best denim shirts and parkas in town.

5. Woodlands Eatery in Cape Town serves fantastic pizza.
6. Flat shoes and boots are cute and must be worn this winter. Also layering. Essential.
7. There is plenty to choose from in accessories too — especially in beanies and scarves.

Because I can, I have also pulled out my personal favourite pieces from the ranges. All available in store and online at the end of April 2014. I can't wait. I will own every single one of these seven items.
