Another A-list star to look absolutely gorgeous yesterday in Cannes 2012, was Nicole Kidman. Having arrived the day before, looking summer chic to the max, she debuted a set of bangs which I thought rather lovely. I also rather liked the peach cardigan, but you guys know I am a sucker for a cardi.

Then she attended a photo call yesterday in a cream lace day dress with a gentle ruby velvet detailing — bangs clipped back. I love it when Nicole dresses like this. I suits her so perfectly. It brings curves to her boyish frame and softens her. It also plays up her ladylike carriage — something so elegant and so often missing from the young actresses of today. I adore it.

Especially when she mixes it up with a cheeky chat over the fence with her shoes kicked off and her true down-home Aussie nature pops up. That's quite a bod, Nicole, and you didn't have to risk flashing your bits to show it off either. Bravo.
