Oh dear. There are always some that just get it wrong on the Cannes red carpet. Usually I just ignore them. They are almost always unknown Euros with too much money and not enough style. But this year we have a few specific problems. The first is that the Altelier Versace dresses don't always translate onto the red carpet from the presentation runway. As both Milla Jovovich and Jada Pinkett Smith found out to their cost. Car crash couture that's for sure. Then there is the lovely star of The Artist, Berenice Bejo. Poor girl doesn't have a clue. This Prada dress was surely just someone trying to punk her?

And then the final major issue of Cannes 2012 red carpet style is Lily Cole. I'm not sure whether it is because she is hanging with Pete Doherty for her new movie, or whether she is trying so hard not to appear like she is trying hard, but she managed to make all our eyes bleed with her selection of outfits this weekend. I mean, really? She thought that collection of fabric looked nice? We can see her knickers for goodness sake! Have mercy.
