Ewa Sonnet Love
Kate had made some changes to the original runway version of the dress, most notably by sewing up the navel-grazing neckline by about ten centimetres. Oh and changing the colour to a much more flattering teal green. Lovely.
There was also a small make-up change — the addition of a glistening gold eye shadow for the occasion. And of course with the glorious up-do, you could see her lovely earrings.
You could also see the magnificence of the lace detail back dress. See the beading, the scalloped edges, the bow belt, the covered buttons — all wonderful and that would have been missed, had Kate stuck with her usual hair.
In fact there was only one tiny thing that I didn't love about all this get up — and that was the matchy matchy clutch. Made from the same brocade as the bodice of the dress, I just found this touch a tad old fashioned. I would have liked to have seen a lovely silver clutch and it would have been perfect. Just like those Jimmy Choo heels.
