Three things usually happen when my girl friends have their first baby. First they start lugging around a nappy bag that really shouldn't ever see the light of day outside of a kid's bedroom. Just because you have a kid does not mean you have to start accessorising like one. Right? Second, the cropped cargo pants make an inexplicable appearance. And third you have to start going to their house all the time — no more meeting up centrally or at a fun restaurant.
