For the third year in a row, South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel has made it onto the list of Forbes top earning models. Last year she was rumoured to have brought in $1.9million. This year it has jumped to a massive $3.1million, and at 23, is the youngest girl on the list, although she remains at number ten. Congratulations to the girl from the midlands who keeps her feet on the ground despite such success.

Two things. First, Kate Moss (no 2, $9.2million) and Natalia Vodianova ($8.6million) are the only two models on the list of ten that have not made their millions primarily as swimwear/underwear models. All the rest are 'bodies' first who have moded into campaigns, runway and editorials. And while these girls are the top earners, they still don't get the same respect as the pure high fashion girls. Interesting twist of the fashion industry. Cool over cash every time.

Secondly, Candice posted a rather revealing image on her Twitter feed yesterday from her shoot with MUSE magazine, shot by Mariano Vivanco. Totally naked with only her hands for modesty, Candice posted this pic herself, so pleased she was with it.
