2012 Vodacom Durban July Horse Race Best Dressed
I thought long and hard about whether or not I was going to do a post on the best dressed ladies attending the 2012 Vodacom Durban July. Off-setting my utter horror at what is called 'fashion' at such an event, against my desire to post on local celebs and events, I decided to keep it tidy. Just my top three best dressed ladies, based on what images I have seen on blogs and in the papers as I wasn't there. And so in at number one for me was Azania Ndoro. This is the second time I have selected her as a best dressed at a local event. And I don't even know who she is other than being a DJ on MetroFM which I don't listen to. But I love her style and her obvious beauty and would like to see a lot more of her. Stunning.
Also looking amazing at the event was Noni Gasa in Avant Apparel and a cute little hat (from The Little Hattery perchance?). This is fashion. No cliches, no shiny, no too-tight. All class and style. Thanks lady for that.
And finally I loved this outfit worn by Claire Mawisa. Again, I don't know her, but I know that my dear Thula Sindi is very fond of her. I may be too if she carries on dressing with this kind of panache. I adore the less obvious pairing of full red skirt and vest top. Adding in the necklaces was the master stroke. Just for future reference — necklace OR massive earrings never both. This look could have been perfect without those earrings — and the matchy-matchy bag. Otherwise winner. Yay. And the less said about the rest of the frock-horror-show the better. Unless you guys think different? Who was your best dressed?
Pictures stolen with flair from Just Curious Blog. Thanks guys.
