I remember clearly 25 years ago when the supermodels ruled the fashion pages, runways, campaigns and basically my life. I read about them voraciously. I was a bit scared of them. And of course I had my favourites (Evangalista, Turlington, Crawford and Christensen) and my non-favourites (Schiffer, Campbell, Moss and Seymour). Pretty much all of these women are still working as models today, bigger, better and very, very rich. Amazing really. Helena Christensen was attending an event the other day and I thought she looked amazing in that Preen dress.

She also looks amazing in the new spread in FutureClaw magazine, in which she really wears nothing much at all.

And what about Christy Turlington's new Calvin Klein campaign. That a 44 year old woman covers for Lara Stone whilst on maternity leave — IN HER KNICKERS — is just staggering to me. And wondrous  And exciting and reaffirming. Fantastic. All these years later, and still the best in the business. Now that's a supermodel.
