Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, in Custom Emilia Wickstead
I love primrose yellow on the royals. HM The Queen always does it so well. And it is just such a SUNSHINEY colour. It makes us all happy. And so I was doubly pleased yesterday to see that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, had not only gone and got her self a new outfit (yay) but that it was in such a lovely shade.
Kate's now signature coat dress style was fresh and pretty in yellow for the Order of the Thistle event in Scotland yesterday. This particular coat was custom made for Kate by Emilia Wickstead, who has designed before for Kate — including that pink pleated dress coat she wore twice for the Jubilee.
The hat is the third outing for a favourite budget Whiteley design. But it was Kate's first visit to Scotland — and as the Countess of Strathearn as she is known there — and so carried the clan tartan in her scarf, which brought a bolder take to the outfit. It may be my favourite bit. Lovely.
