Are you watching Revenge? Blimey, it is good. I am utterly gripped by the series as well as by the lead actress, Emily VanCamp. I have always like this Canadian actress. It's not often you get a Hollywood actress that is obviously ballet trained and who speaks fluent French. It lends her a kind of reserve that I admire. She is not brash.

Which is perfect for her role as the vengeful Emily Thorne in Revenge, with her rich, East Coast background — fitting into The Hamptons society perfectly.

The locals in the area have capitalised on this latest portrayal of their playground and have shot Emily for the cover and inside story of their latest magazine. Even though — as I discovered yesterday — only the pilot was actually shot in The Hamptons. The rest is shot in LA and Wilmington, North Carolina.

In the story Emily talks about how she has always played it safe and conservative with fashion but that how she is starting to use a stylist who pushes her outside these regular classics. In this piece she wears dresses by Rag & Bone, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY and Etro and they work beautifully. Let's hope we see her in more of these types of dresses on red carpets soon.
