Miss World 2012 is Yu Wenxia From People's Republic of China
I'm not sure what you guys did with your Saturday afternoon this weekend. I watched the 2012 Miss World pageant. Just so you know. Oh yes I did. Well, to be fair I taped it and fast forwarded through the bits I found boring and watched the rest. Winning. And the 2012 pageant was won — rather predictably I will say — by Miss China, Yu Wenxia. She is very pretty. And apparently sings very well although I did fast forward through both the bits she got to do due to the very, very high pitch of it all.
Her two princesses with the identical left and right bookends of Wales (Elizabeth Mould) and Australia (Jessica Michelle Kahawaty). Also both very pretty. With fab bodies and wonderful charitable intentions. And good speech writers. All round, very impressive.
But none was so impressive as the giant of a winner in my eyes, from South Sudan — Atong Demach. She was brilliant. Her speeches were heart-felt and erudite and her body is slamming. She won the competition for the fashion side of things — brilliant walk — and totally won my heart with her sweet and pretty smile.

She was a winner in EVERY way for me. I am not sure why she didn't get the crown. I would hate to speculate about skin colour or politics. But for me she definitely did win. If anyone asks, Miss World 2012 was won by South Sudan. Ok? We all agreed? Awesome.
