I adore Olivia Palermo's personal style. And in the new UK InStyle, October 2012 issue, she makes it absolutely clear that she dresses for herself and wouldn't be caught dead leaving the house without a being fully and completely dressed to her own satisfaction.

Olivia was shot for the cover of InStyle by photographer Damon Baker, and wears beautiful gowns by Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and others.

I like this story a lot because I was asking for Olivia to be given a bit of an edge in a shoot. I prefer her when she is not just 'pretty' in a picture. I like when she is mussed up a bit — like how they have taken her hair, teased is up and combed it over. It makes her face less 'framed' and more interesting for it. Good work chaps.
