Keeping it in the Middleton family today, sister Pippa Middleton continued her social climbing ways, going on a date night with her boyfriend who is under pressure to propose within weeks. She wore a very cute pair of Tory Burch sandals on the night out — sure they may cost R2,500 but she can afford it, right?

Hang on. What exactly does she do except write a couple of stories for Vanity Fair and Waitrose every other month? As someone who has flogged a few stories for cash over the years, I know that can't pay your rent let alone a pair of expensive shoes. And we know her book didn't do very well.

Let's just add the Hermes bangle to that tally. And the clutch. I'm not sure who it is by, but I assume that it isn't Accessorise or Aldo. And that dress is fabulous. I will say that. But it is new. And it looks good. It really does. But honestly, how does she afford it? It grates me a bit, especially since her sister — with all the resources in the world — digs out a high street special for even the official moments. I have started to have a new appreciation for Kate's thrifty ways. And I really do wish P-Middy would just tone it all down a bit. Get a real job. You know?
