Sometimes silver can go wrong. It can look washed out or dull. It can blend and become bland. But on Sunday night at the 2012 Emmy Awards there were a few ladies who shone. Kerry Washington was the kicker. In Vivienne Westwood unexpectedly. But looking like a million stars shining. Beautifully dressed and elegant. Love her.

I think that Emily Vancamp was also a shining star. She is wearing J.Mendel and it is soft and pretty and beautifully made and that twinkle of Van Cleef on her wrist in the shape of a bow was hands-down the best jewellery of the night (excuse the pun).

Of course none shone so bright as Lucy Liu in her Atelier Versace metal dress. We need not say anything else. Just perfect.

And then because I had no other category to put her in, arguably the best dressed of the night, Jessica Pare from Mad Men. She looked immaculate in Jason Wu. Shimmering white, with a red lip and black accents. I die for this look. Die. Love.
