I don't know what you call it, but this shade of plum/purple/aubergine/pomegranate/maroon/burgundy whatever, was also a hot trend on the carpet. Mindy Kaling is my absolute best. I love her and her show. I thought her Georges Chakra dress was fine. Good. You know. Super. Both Alyson Hannigan in Marchesa — but almost bordering on that matric dance dress — and the adorable Big Bang girl Melissa Rauch, paired their purple dresses with turquoise jewellery. That was clever. It refreshed it all beautifully. But still. They were both only ok. Not the standouts they needed.
