Keira Knightly for Vogue UK, October 2012
Dressed in what appears to be costumes from her period movies — but turns out to be amazing couture — Keira Knightly covers the latest edition of UK Vogue. The October 2012 issue.
Shot by genius photographer Mario Testino, these evokative images capture the Keira we think we know, but without the pout and the annoying simpering. C'mon, you are all thinking it.
Looking awesome and strong and powerful, Keira actually owns this shoot. I completely love it and wish that I could work with clothes like this. I would even go so far as to say, I would like to shoot her in them too. And I don't mean literally.
She makes a point of saying that she will never give up her femininity — or her individuality. She has come to identify as a feminist and a woman with her own path to tread. Good girl. So far, no irritation.
And then you see this image. Dressed in Chanel. Like a goddess angel. And you think, if she can pull this off, maybe she isn't so bad.
But of course she is in her movies. Maybe I shall have my mind changed. Maybe. In the future. But to date, I have nothing but vexation when thinking of them. But because of this shoot I may actually giver her another go. Another chance. And then that's it. Deal?
