Marion Cotillard Covers First Issue of Dior Magazine
I'm not entirely sure why the House of Dior has decided to start publishing a magazine, but they have, creatively entitled Dior. And of course as an avid fan of the label, I am already in love with the offering. Helped a tiny bit by the styling on the cover of the first issue.
With overt nods to the iconic New Look of 1948, Dior featured Marion Cotillard on the cover of the first issue, looking both modern and perfectly 40s all at the same time. Just magnificent.
It goes without saying that they selected her because she is one the brand faces. Also because she has successfully carried off some of the new Raf Simons designed couture looks on red carpets of late — better than anyone else that has given it a go.
It also goes without saying that all the clothes in the story are from Dior. Duh.
The editorial was shot by Jean-Baptiste Modino. And I love, love, love it for ever.
