So it is the Democratic National Convention in the US at the moment. I am not remotely American. But I do feel that we, as humans with a social conscience, must have a vested interest in the Americans electing a President who believes in real fundamental freedoms (gay marriage, abortion, etc).

I also have a vested interest in seeing Michelle Obama retain her position as FLOTUS so we can continue to explore her style, her support of designers, and her love of fashion.

Michelle Obama gave an amazing speech at the opening of the DNC last night. For the special occasion she wore a custom American designer Tracy Reese dress, paired with J.Crew high street shoes. Perfect. She showed off her incredible arms — the closest things to Angela Basset arms we have seen in a decade.

Her husband, The President, tweeted a picture of him and their daughters watching the speech from their sofa. Adorable, right?

The day before at the walk through, Michelle wore a stunning DvF dress from the resort collection.
She was photographed greeting some of the convention workers. One of which she fist bumped before going in for the hug. Any idea who the special guy is?

None other than Kal Penn, actor from movie Harold and Kumar and TV series House. He has been working for the Obama campaign since 2008 and is said to be close with the first couple. Awesome. Go out there and fist bump someone today. Preferably dressed in DvF. You know.
