Mulberry Front Row Beats Burberry Front Row in London Fashion Week 2012 Slap Down
Obviously I am just joking when I say that Mulberry gave Burberry a slap down at the London Fashion Week shows this week. But they kinda did when it comes to the front row. Burberry has long been the holder of the title of the most impressive FROW. And yesterday Mulberry stole their crown. Inevitable when you have Kate Moss and Alexa Chung giggling as they snuggle up next to each other.
Mulberry pulled in stars of Downton Abbey, singers, and Kate Moss. It was edgy cool and A-list all at the same time, without trying too hard. That is London fashion in a nutshell.
From Downton we had maid, Anna, played by Joanne Froggatt. Who looked so very pretty outside of her costumes! Also there was kindly Lady Cora, played by Elizabeth McGovern.
Of course what would a FROW be without the immaculate stylings of one Olivia Palermo. Rocking a mustard jumper in a quite wonderful fashion.
And there was Lana del Rey looking angelic in white as Mulberry launch another new handbag — the Willow and it is wonderful. Last year it was the Del Rey, named for Lana.
Alexa Chung was there looking cute as a button with her hair in a bun and frills on her shorts. Those flat shoes are winners too. Love them.
And Kate. I a black leather trench. As you do when you are the coolest kid in the room. Every room really. Done. London Fashion Week is over. And it ended on a high. Played Mulberry!
