Nigerian born, British based, Michelle Obama favourite designer Duro Olowu has recently announced that the label will be collaborating with department store chain JC Penney on a reasonably priced collection, following in the footsteps of other designers like Marchesa. All the garments in the range will be priced between $10 and $100 which is pretty phenomenal. And are more than likely going to feature bold prints and fun expressions. As is the style of this African designer.
Duro Olowu was nominated for African Designer of the Year (International) at this weekend's African Fashion Awards, but lost out to exciting new talent Mimi Plange, who is the protege of Andre Leon Talley. The range will be available online from March 2013 if you want to pick up a piece from here.
