Ashley Greene, star of the gigantic Twilight movie franchise, swung by Johannesburg on a promotional tour of the last of the movies. Which I think was rather nice of her since no one else ever pops by the bottom tip of Africa for this purpose. Nicely done, lady. And for the occasion she wore a lovely Erdem dress that was elegant and pretty without being overdone. And revealed her new hair colour — bright bottle red. I imagine this is either a breakup hair-do as she has recently split from her long-term boyfriend. Or it is for a role. I like to think she is just like us and it is the former. Right?

I also managed to find this rather blurred photo of Ashley attending a meet and greet at Fourways in Jozi. I will try and get a better one for you.

Ashley had gone on a 'life changing' safari at Pumba Private Nature Reserve before all the movie hoopla, and said that it was very peaceful and was difficult to come back from the bush. Apparently she is already planning her next trip to our lovely country. Hopefully she will come down to Cape Town next time and we can meet up and talk shoes and dresses. Like we do.
