Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantzou SS13
Oh my goodness, how we loved the SS13 collection by Mary Katrantzou, when she showed at London Fashion Week in September. We may have all shed a tear at the wonder of it all. Her signature is prints. Digitally complex prints. And this collection took literal inspiration from foreign lands as Mary utilised stamps and old European money to tell her story. And the we sat back and waited for someone to wear the collection on the red carpet. The delightful Kerry Washington was the first to do so, to mixed reviews. The hemline has been raised to accommodate Kerry's diminutive size. That works. It's maybe the neckline and bust that doesn't work as well as it did on the very flat-chested model. But I like the look on Kerry. She looks delightful. Hopefully the next person to wear a look from the collection gets a better reception. Keira? Alexa? Someone like that, I think will make it work. Don't you?
