Did she wear yellow because the event was to celebrate Alex's Lemonade? Who knows. But at first glance the only thing remarkable about the Rebecca Minkoff dress that Lena Dunham wore this weekend, was that it was bright yellow. Otherwise, from the front, it was just a plain old sack. A sack of bright, bold yellow, for sure. But shapeless and not terribly well fitted or flattering. But we have come to expect that from Lena. Along with a weird taste in shoes.

It was only when she turned around that we got what this dress was all about. And why it was so utterly dull from the front. As well as insight into why it fitted so poorly. You see, the back was almost entirely absent. With a difficult dropped waist pleating detail over the bottom area. Well. There really isn't very much more to say here.

This dress would have been a disaster on pretty much anyone. I mean it is hard to wear a loose open back dress with pleats across the bum, even if you are a supermodel. I would like to say it is brave of Lena to go here. But I genuinely think she thought it was awesome. And a great way to show off her back tattoos. She really just has no clue what so ever. I wish someone would help her out. If only so she can see what a difference a well-fitted and flattering dress can make to your sense of self. I am tired now. I must rest. Sigh.
