Look, the spring 2013 runways were FULL of them. Bra tops. Usually they were styled with a boyfriend jacket so as to minimise the full-90s impact and provide a modicum of actual style. But once they are unleashed on the general public, I fear that this may be foresaken as they continue to inexplicably follow the style cues provided by one Kim Kardashian. She was out with Kanye this weekend, squeezing herself into a bra top. And belted skirt. What do you think? Something you want to emulate? Maybe?

Until she turns around and really it is about as unflattering an outfit as I believe I have EVER seen. The skirt is see-through for starters. REALLY??? No one told you, Kim? Or did you want to display your butt-crack for all the world to see? And the rop really does just look like a sports bra. No dignity at all.

Miley Cyrus also wore a bra top on international television this weekend. She was rather more streamlined in her approach. And has a more appropriately youthful body. And yet it still made me super uncomfortable and I would have loved a loose-fit little jacket over the whole shebang. I don't know. What do you guys think? One more and we have a full-on trend.
