I'd like to think that Idris Elba, Naomi Harris and Alek Wek all hopped onto the same plane from Johannesburg on Monday and turned up together to the 2013 Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday. Well, there were all in both places and I like this version. I am not sure who Alek was wearing — she looked fantastic — but I do know it wasn't an outfit she took home with her from South Africa. More's the pity.

I also know that last week, before she headed to our shores, she was at the launch of the hot new Isabel Marant for H+M collection in Paris. Well, as a supermodel face of the brand, that made complete sense. Having had the privilege of being in her company last weekend for about half an hour, I have come to know her as incredibly intelligent, brave, thoughtful and eloquent. This supermodel is no dummy and she seems like a jolly nice girl too. Beautiful, smart and lovely AND from Africa. She really is the whole package.
