Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen and Atelier Versace

Her co-star may be sticking to Dior, but Elizabeth Banks, the core style element of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, has been mixing things up and being all kinds of dazzling in everything that she wears. In Paris Elizabeth wore Alexander McQueen with all the attitude it deserves and requires.

McQueen is always a little challenging, and this dress is no different. The neckline, trimmed in embellished colour pops, is non-standard, but suits Elizabeth. The feathers on the hips could have been a misstep, but in this instance, it really works, enhancing the slight curves and making the proportions all right. Happy.

But not as happy as this tangerine dream makes me. Elizabeth Banks wore Atelier Versace last night to the LA premier. OMG. How dazzling is this?

Well, if you like bold colour. (We do.) And if you like a perfectly fitted column of citrus. (We definitely do.) And you like a splash of gold spangle. (Absolutely.) I mean what is there not to completely love about this look. It plays to the strengths of of all involved. Done.
