Goodness Taylor Swift seems to have done well at last night's Victoria Secret show. I was sceptical I don't mind admitting. I thought that she was too apple-pie-wholesome and twee for such a sexy event. But she certainly held her own in all the picture evidence — and looked as if she actually belonged right up there on the ramp with the Angels.

Well, T-Swizzle has the height. And the legs. And the glossy mane of long blonde hair. She has the figure, certainly. She has the eyes. And she has the style — all of which she showed off to maximum effect in the spangle-tastic silver dress and the British-invasion-inspired mini and heels.

And the new-found confidence and sex-appeal spilt over to the after party, at which she wore another sequin mini dress — and managed to look fantastic. Now I don't think that Taylor Swift — all-American country singing darling — is about to become a red-hot lingerie model. But good girl for absolutely holding her own amongst some of the world's most genetically blessed humans. I don't know anyone else who may have managed that feat. Props where due, guys.
