This is a bit of a contentious one. In the past week Glee-star Dianna Agron has debuted a new hair style — with bangs. She has also started trying out an edgier style. With very conflicting reviews. Many people are hating what she is doing. I, on the other hand, am demonstrating my apparent bad taste by loving it. This is a girl who ALWAYS looks great in a knee-length cocktail dress. That's her thing. The fact that she is taking this and pushing it a bit further to see what happens gets snaps of happiness all round from me. This is exactly how to do it.
Sure you may think that the floral headband rather over-eggs the Dolce and Gabbana black pudding, so to speak. But I actually think that it looked adorable on Monday night. Sweet, authentic and pretty. A lovely way to jazz up black frock. Softening the sexy and bringing her in-built femininity to the whole shebang. And those shoes...well...I die.

Then there was the Bottega Veneta dress and shoes she wore on Tuesday night. Yes, it is a more complicated dress than she is used to. But we can't go assuming she is a dumb blonde. She is a smart girl and a smart dress is totally appropriate for such a person. It's not like she is going to wear pretty frocks forever. And this girl has shown us she has an edge — remember the lace ups she has been wearing in real life recently? I like it. You may not, but I do. Go Dianna.
