Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, in Temperley Black Lace Again
For the third time, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, wore this gorgeous black lace Temperley London gown that was custom made for her for the War Horse premier in January 2012. I don't know if she is trying to prove a point that she has her figure back after birthing Prince George, or if she has eventually unpacked a bunch of boxes now that they have moved into their new home in London — but EVERYTHING she is wearing of late is a re-wear.
And of course you all know I respect and admire that. In fact there is nothing quite like rediscovering your clothes after a big change like pregnancy. But I think a new outfit every now and again would keep us keen. Last night she eschewed a handbag and kept things simple. I think a touch of lip colour would have worked better. She did do a lip at War Horse when she carried a black clutch. And the red of the handbag at a St Andrews event later last year was also good. I think that last night was the dullest of the three wears. Which is a pity. But at least the hair is less curly these day. Small victories.
But the fun came later when, like K-Middy is always wont, she got fully into the spirit of the 3D screening and donned her glasses to watch the movie with Sir David Attenborough. Good girl.
