Of course it is always interesting to see what Meryl Streep does on the red carpet. I mean she is a goddess. And she plays things relatively low-impact style-wise but always makes a good decision. Like this cream Gucci dress that she wore last night to the LA premier of August: Osage County.

Snakeskin heels and clutch and some diamonds strung around her neck dress it all up. The messy hair and glasses remind us that she isn't terribly pretentious and doesn't care much for this aspect of the business.

But she is Meryl Streep and while her dress could have been better fitted and her hair and make-up done for the occasion, we don't really care because she is there. And she is Meryl Streep. Even Julia Roberts looks like a fangirl next to her.
