2014 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Best Dressed in Berry Shades
My favourite red of the 2014 Critics Choice Awards red carpet was previously crazy Juliette Lewis. She was wearing, as she often does, Zac Posen. Better than anyone else wears Zac Posen. She looks sensational. Absolutely gorgeous. And sane. And while I like a bit of cray, I also love a beautifully and elegantly dressed woman of a certain age. It is inspiring. Love her.
Also looking good at almost 50, is Sandra Bullock. She wore a ruffled Lanvin gown that was feminine and suited her. And she dressed it up with that bejewelled belt that I actually thought looked really like her personal style. So this is a win for me.
Christina Applegate was extremely pretty in her Notte for Marchesa red lace dress. Certainly more girly than the others, but lovely and a great little nod to how to be red carpet appropriate when not actually winning an award.
And then there was Amy Adams in Roland Mouret. She looked amazing and sexy and the texture on the gown is a rare treat for a red carpet. But after her very excellent Valentino of the Golden Globes — and I am sure a princess dress to come at the Oscars — this is really only 'meh' on the Amy Adams scale of style. No?
