You all know my exasperation with Anne Hathaway and her hit and miss style. And the fact that we have concluded that the poor girl really hasn't got a clue and simply tries her best. And sometimes her best works in miraculous ways. Let's examine the evidence we see before us.

A YSL Le Smoking tuxedo suit is, for me, the absolute pinnacle of style. It says everything you ever would want to say about being a woman of substance. And sure, Saint Laurent is not the same as YSL was. And this is modernised in a cowboy manner. But it is a (Y)SL evening tux and I love it.

A suit is back in favour for evening wear anyway. I adore androgynous dressing. And it is in black. With black nails and killer shoes. That hair is being styled to new-romantic perfection. So when it comes down to it WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? Aside from Anne Hathaway and her smug, pious vegan ways of course. But the outfit is brilliant. Right?
