Here's the thing. Style darling Lupita Nyong'o and Lady Michelle Dockery of Downton have a few things in common. First of all they are both at this pre-SAG Awards dinner — and looked super cool in a Valentina floral dress and daring Prada strapless number respectively.

But they also have something else in common. Not just that they are both nominated for various awards this season. But that they also share a stylist. Micaela Erlanger is a fashion stylist who has quietly turned around the red carpet appearances of stars such as Martha Plimpton, Winona Ryder and Joely Richardson.

Mid-last year she started working with Michelle and Lupita both. And they have subsequently appeared with startling regularity on this blog. This is not a coincidence. She is just that genius at her work. One of the best in the business right now. If I was looking for a stylist, Micaela is the one I would hire. Brilliant.

Also, I just wanted to mention, Lupita is almost never photographed in trousers, and yet look how good she looks in them. And in her awesome glasses that she pops on sometimes to present an award or read a teleprompter. Plus I also really love that tartan shirt she had on under her coat yesterday. Fabulous.
