On most red carpets there are dressed that I am supposed to love but just don't. Last night's 2014 BAFTAs were no different. There were three dresses, on seemingly lovely ladies, that just left me cold. For the second time in a row, Cate Blanchett has let me down. She was in Alexander McQueen and a necklace. Somehow it just all appears so 90s. There is something about necklaces against cloth that it turns out I really don't like. Disappointed.Samantha Banks was in Calvin Klein. It is lovely of course. Almost perfect. But snooze-fest! And also not the BEST fit. And also that necklace. Also 90s a bit, right?? What's going on here?
Finally, what about Lea Seydoux? This is Miu Miu. Sometimes it comes right. Sometimes it really, really doesn't. This isn't the worst Miu Miu dress she has worn. But it is a fair bit GARISH, a bit overwrought, no? *shudder*
