My favourite actress, in my favourite city, wearing my favourite surrealist fashion designer. Are there any others? The mighty Tilda Swinton attended the premier of her new movie The Grand Budapest Hotel in Berlin last night — dressed in totally unexpected Schiaparelli Couture. AMAZING.

Schiaparelli is having something of a revival. In part due to the Met Gala of 2012. And in part due to the fact that women like The Swinton exist to breathe the right type of life into these garments. That she chose to wear the hair slippers in freezing temperatures demonstrates a commitment that I love.

Earlier in the day, Tilda had arrived at the photo call in a much more subdued look — tweed coat by Valentino. Very nice. Boyfriend also very nice. Movie almost certainly very nice. So a happy day all round. Don't you think?
