The sign of a truly stylish woman is not just WHAT she wears, but what she wheres WHERE. Like going to a funeral in a couture gown. It's a beautiful dress, but it's not stylish when it is inappropriate for the occasion. And when my mate Victoria Beckham landed in Cape Town this weekend to do some charity work, she was stylish AND totally appropriate for our style.

Here in the Fairest Cape, we are pretty relaxed. We love a casual parka and a Breton stripe top. It's like the city uniform of stylish ladies. And just look at what VB wore on landing. Amazing.

Nothing we have ever seen her in before. But just right for us. And of course she did a bit of smarter black and white for dinner at the Nellie where she is staying. If only we had time for book club while she was here...
