Beyoncé Fronts for House of Deréon Fall 2012 Campaign
It is a hell of a thing when a clothes label has celebrity endorsement. It can add millions of sales dollars to the brand — especially if you can get that celebrity to appear in the campaign for the label. Which will usually cost bucket-loads of cash. But what happens when the celebrity is the daughter and co-designer? Well, then you have a free ticket to sell clothes. Whether or not they are very nice.
Now don't get it twisted. I actually like the printed pants from this fall House of Deréon collection. And the jackets. I do actually think these pieces are very nice indeed. It's just that the rest look pretty awful. I mean, does the skirt need to be sheer, leopard print AND split to the crotch? Isn't that just screaming desperate hoochie to you?
Anything can look good on Beyoncé. Also this fall 2012 campaign is styled with Bey and Solange's own personal accessories — hats, glasses, etc. So of course it is going to look cool. But once you get past this awesome campaign with great styling and those must-have pants, what are you left with? Nothing much for me, I'm afraid. Not that Bey or or mum care a jot. They will sell it all in spades.
