Current Olympic silver medalist and 2004 Wimbledon champion, Maria Sharapova has been on the promo tour recently. Out at events three times in the past week as part of her launch of her Sugapova sweets range, Maria has aced it on the style front (see what I did there...). Particularly since she has worn David Koma twice — first with this sugary sweet confection at Henri Bendel in New York City last week.

Just on Monday night she wore a second David Koma — this time a little black dress with sheer panelling. Giuseppe Zanotti strappy heels and a Tag Heuer watch from her sponsors was paired with the dress. And then she chatted to Jimmy Fallon and played a mean game of beer pong. As you do.

In between she attended a Hamptons party and wore this laser cut red leather Valentino dress. Amazing. And let me just say this. The one thing that the Olympics reminds me of is people who deserve their celebrity — they are dedicated, goal oriented and champions. These are people who sacrifice, train, hone and perfect their business, their discipline of sport. These people are not lucky. They are not spoiled. They are not remotely indulged. So when they get lots of attention and get to wear pretty dresses by famous designers, I say good for you! That's all. As you were.
