How I love the Spice Girls. A bit in that cool ironic way. A lot in a totally sentimental way. And a soupcon of in the love of classic pop music way. And they appeared, amidst much excitement and anticipation, as a quintet in the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

And wasn't it just fabulous? The cheesy highlight of the whole musical shebang. Well for me it was.

The girls did good. They all had their individual personalities on. But they were a unit. One that represented girl power in a way that only the Olympic Games could rival. I loved it. That's all.
