I may not have loved the Carven dress that my mate Alexa Chung wore to the GQ Awards earlier this week, in London. But I sure did love the one she wore a day later for the book launch of her new tome, entitled It. I adore the navy and black combination and thought the pairing of lace and silk taffeta were glorious. She looks just delightful. Especially with her signature loafers.

And while she may have been a bit bushed after her big night out the day before, she still looked dewy fresh at the launch, to which all her famous mates were invited. Luckily they showed up and it was al fun and games and Daisy Lowe DJing on the decks.

The next morning — that was yesterday — Alexa headed out to hang with her morning DJ mate Nick Grimshaw. For the excursion she wore a classic Peter Pan collar white shirt with tiny leather shorts and some studded flats. This is Alexa's quirky chic style at it's absolute BEST. She looks amazing. Now I need to get my hands on her book. Tout suite.
