I know many of you won't agree with me — but that has never stopped me before — the October 2012 cover of AnOther magazine, featuring a hipster Carey Mulligan, is my favourite favourite of the month. I totes adore the whole damn situation. Go ahead. Tell me I am mad. But I love it. I would buy it. Maybe even twice.

Which is not the same response that I get from the cover of US Elle, featuring a totally photoshopped Britney Spears. Poor girl. All trussed up in Versace and not a realistic, natural, happy smile in sight.

And Blake Lively, on the cover of UK Marie Claire for the month, looks positively demonic. I have no idea how this is even possible with such a pretty girl.

And then there is Lana del Rey on the cover of UK GQ. In the buff. With some tacky looking diamonds on all available surfaces. I mean she is so damn pretty. And I like the white background. But why is she naked, again? Help me out here gang. Sigh.
