To read the British press, you would think that wearing socks with a slip-on sandal was tantamount to wearing leggings as pants. Or wearing Crocs. Or fleece. I mean really. Anyone who has danced or played sport for any length of time in special shoes is going to have done this. And at least neither Rihanna nor David Beckham are wearing slippers (or Uggs) in public.

Both these stars have got flack in the tabloids in the past week for this minor fashion faux pas. I think, frankly, Rihanna is full dressed and looking quite together for a change in this picture she posted of herself. I can easily forgive the 'just off the plane' footwear. EASILY. It's not a lace bra people!! And David. Well, David is just lovely to look at no matter what he wears. Or doesn't wear. Seriously, British press? Get over this. It's not that bad. Or am I wrong — you guys let me know if you think this is a giant mistake. Over to you.
