Lana del Rey for Vogue Australia, October 2012
The beautiful chanteuse, Lana del Rey, has another new milestone she has achieved, that of another Vogue cover. Yup, just as she covers the Australian edition of Vogue for October 2012, we are reminded that she has already been on the cover of British Vogue, back in March.
This is a beautiful cover, as she wears a floral encrusted Gucci gown, all wispy hair and vintage prettiness. It is a delightful change from her usual quite cold retro gangsta/Nancy Sinatra vibes.
Lana reveals a few things in this interview. First that she suffers from terrible stage fright and that the younger people in her audience take pity on her and hand over stuffed toys to cheer her up.
She also reveals that she plans to move into film script writing — and stay there for some time. Apparently she said all that she ever meant to say on her debut record, Born to Die. We will see. It's not like we haven't heard other songstresses say this, ahem, Lily Allen.
This cover was shot by Nicole Bently and there are plenty of behind the scenes pictures floating around the 'net for you to go and look for if you fancy it. So pretty.
