Darby Stanchfield is Stunning in Valentino and Georges Hobeika

Just because The Fixer / Scandal finished on our SA screens last night with an awesome double bill, doesn't mean we can't appreciate the incredible style of one of it's stars as the series debuts its third season States-side. In fact we should, because it will make us look forward to the next series even more, including the improvement of the wardrobe of the character Abby Wheelan, played by the stunning Darby Stanchfield.

Darby wore an amazing Valentino cocktail dress this weekend to the Variety Power of Women event. I just loved it on her, with her red hair all up in a loose, tendril bun. And those surprising gold shoes. Amazing. So pretty. So very unexpected

For the Scandal season three premier last week, she wore Georges Hobeika. It was also a more challenging look than you would have expected. I don't know a lady around right now who doesn't love a soft pleated silk maxi skirt, so I think that this works more for other women than for men. But that's ok. I don't think that she needs to bring the sexy. Her smarts are her sexy.

Darby is a snappy dresser it turns out. She has tried the crop top look that is so ubiquitous right now. I am happy to report, she did so with class and dignity and style. And I love that she never matches her bag with her shoes with her dress. It is cool and fresh and fun and very now. As is a pony tail. Darby may be off our screens for now, but she is in my sights to track for her style. Happy.
