There is something so cheerful about a subtle silver lining. It makes me happy to think that no matter what, this dress has a silver lining. I want more of that in fashion. Why isn't it someone's signature yet — like the red soled shoes thing? Just the thought of it makes me want to skip. Thanks to Jessica Alba for bringing it to my attention.

Jessica was wearing this Wes Gordon resort spring 2014 flippy summer dress on the weekend. The stripes in the inset pleats caught my attention. Then I realised that not only was this dress on-trend for NEXT summer but that it was happiness in a dress. Every dress should have a silver lining. Ahhhh.
