We loved Kim Sears during Wimbledon, with her glossy hair and on-the-money high street style. Yesterday she accompanied her man, Andy Murray, to Buckingham Palace, where he received his OBE for his services to sport, from Prince William — who was conducting the investitures for the first time. And she did the exact opposite of what she usually does.

This time the hair was tucked back inside a natty little Jane Taylor hat and the dress was designer. Matthew Williamson to be specific. Worth nearly R15,000. Look, I'm not suggesting it isn't appropriate. It definitely is. And they can afford it, for sure. It's just so different to the way she usually goes about her life. But then I, too, may be compelled to go overboard if I was going to London to meet the Queen. Go Kim! She looks great.
